Baku, Azerbaijan, November 10. Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda met today with the Minister of Trade of Türkiye Mehmet Mus in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe, Trend reports citing Tajik Ministry's press service.
During the meeting, Zavqizoda and Mus signed a roadmap for increasing trade between Tajikistan and Türkiye for 2023-2025. Under this agreement, the two countries will strive to increase mutual trade turnover to $1 billion.
Moreover, the parties also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of free economic zones (FEZ).
"In order to develop trade and economic cooperation and bilateral investment, it was proposed to create joint industrial enterprises for the production of textile products, aluminum, wool and leather processing, fruits and vegetables, food production, and building materials in Tajikistan by attracting investments from Türkiye," the message said.
Meanwhile, a total of 134 Tajik-Turkish enterprises are currently operating in Tajikistan.
