Ashgabat will host an international “Chemical industry of Turkmenistan on the way to progress” conference on March 31, 2018 with participation of representatives of the biggest foreign companies, the Watan newspaper reported.
The agenda includes the prospects for the development of chemical industry, as well as the strengthening and expansion of partnership ties with all interested countries, the exchange of experience.
Turkmenistan is developing diversification of the gas chemical industry, the country plans to build several big gas chemical complexes engaged in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, monoethylene glycol, dimethyl ether and other chemical products with help of the modern technologies used for extraction of ethane from natural gas, as well as using the methanol to olefin technology for methane recovery and processing.
Moreover, work continues to build a plant for the production of liquid petroleum products from natural gas (using GTL technology).
Turkmenistan is ready to study other proposals of foreign investors on investment projects aimed at high-technology processing of natural gas and the production of export-oriented products.
