Uzbekistan has built and reconstructed about 40,700 kilometers of power lines in 2017-2021,Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
According to the Ministry of Energy, over the past 5 years, almost 4.5 times more power lines have been built and reconstructed in the country than in the period of 1991-2016.
From 1991 through 2016, 9,300 kilometers of power transmission lines were built and reconstructed.
Previously, it was reported that about 80,000 kilometers of main transmission and distribution power lines, more than 20,000 transformer points and more than 200 substations will be built and repaired in the country.
In 2017-2021, 902 km of main transmission line and 40,600 km of distribution power lines and 12,900 transformer facilities were reconstructed.
In 2022, 370 km of gas networks and 1,008 gas distribution points will be modernized and reconstructed.
