BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 3. Uzbekistan and Latvia intend to build up transport and transit potential, Trend reports via Uzbek State Railway Company (Uzbekiston Temir Yullari JSC).
This was discussed during a meeting of the chairman of the board of Uzbekiston Temir Yullari and the chairman of the board of the Latvian Railway Company (Latvijas dzelzceļš).
During the negotiation, special attention was paid to the issues of establishing further mutually beneficial transit tariffs and faster delivery of goods to the ports of Riga when transporting goods along the railway corridors of the countries of the northern and southern directions between Asia and Europe.
Following the meeting, the parties noted the ongoing active work and the positive pace of building up bilateral cooperation.
