BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. Türkiye’s Akça Holding plans to launch a $250 million textile complex in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.

This became known following the talks between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish company Ahmet Bilge Goksan.

Representatives of the Turkish company expressed their readiness to implement an investment project in the textile industry in the Namangan region. It is planned to launch manufacturing of products from yarn, terry towels, home textiles, knitwear, military uniforms, linen, dyed fabric, and other textile products oriented to the markets of the USA, Europe, Brazil, Canada, and other countries. As a result, 12,000-15,000 new jobs will be created.

Following the meeting, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance at all stages of the project, as well as in the process of developing new investment initiatives.
