TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 27. Uzbekistan has made various revisions and additions to the country's customs regulations, including changes in energy consumption tariffs, Trend reports.

Customs officials are now considered consumer firms, making them eligible for unique electricity supply conditions. This modification attempts to ensure that customs offices have the resources they need to operate efficiently.

Other changes include lowering the demand for advance payment when exporting based on an invoice from 100 percent to 50 percent, which is intended to facilitate smoother trade operations and minimize financial pressures on exporters.

Furthermore, exports of products under the customs regime of processing within the customs area will be performed during export customs clearance, depending on a sufficient processing requirement. This will facilitate the processing of goods within the country by simplifying procedures.

Changes to the foreign partner country on the cargo customs declaration will be required for foreign trade operations, ensuring that the information is accurate and up-to-date and contributing to trade record integrity.

Into the bargain, the unified electronic information system for foreign trade operations will enable changes to foreign trade contract data to be made without the need for new agreements. This modification encourages flexibility and efficiency in the administration of foreign trade contracts.

These improvements are aimed not just at expediting customs processes and aiding cross-border commerce growth, but also at improving worker welfare and providing anti-corruption protections inside Uzbekistan's customs sector.
