FM responsible for latest developments: Speaker of Iranian Parliament

Foreign minister is responsible for latest developments in Iran, Speaker of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani told in parliament today, ILNA reported.

The events in the dormitory of the Teheran University and other dormitories have caused alarm amongst students. "I personally visited some dormitories. A special commission was formed out of representatives of parliament, and interior minister is responsible for latest developments," Larijani said.

Two days ago students staged a rally in favor of former presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi in the dormitory of Teheran University. Police attacked the dormitory to calm the rally, but damaged the building. Several students were injured and several of them were arrested.

Seven people died in street clashes between supporters of incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his rival Mir-Hossein Mousavi in Teheran, the Associated Press reported with reference to Iranian radio.
