A passenger plane flying from Tehran to Kiev on Friday morning made an emergency landing at the Simferopol airport due to a single engine failure, the press-service of the Crimean office of the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

A passenger plane flying from Tehran to Kiev on Friday morning made an emergency landing at the Simferopol airport due to a single engine failure, the press-service of the Crimean office of the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The plane of the "Ukrainian Mediterranean Airlines" carrying 74 passengers and seven crew members reported the accident.

"At present the aircraft is at the airport", the spokesman for the Crimean Office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Vladimir Ivanov told RIA Novosti. "The passengers were taken to Simferopol."
