Shuttle Discovery undocks from ISS, on its way home

(Itar-Tass) -- Shuttle Discovery undocked from the International Space Station on Tuesday and started the journey home, NASA officials said.

Discovery backed out of the station's berthing port precisely according to the schedule at 5:09 p.m. EST (2210 GMT).

The space mission lasted 10 days, out of which for eight days the shuttle was docked to the station. It will take the astronauts three days to return to the Earth, reports Trend.
