Iranian government revenues fall

Iranian government’s total revenues stood at 374.8 trillion rials ($11.2 billion, based on official rate of ‎ 33,460 rials per each USD) during first four months of the current fiscal year (March 20-June 21) Central Bank of Iran (CBI) said in its latest monthly report released Sept. 14.

Meanwhile, over 591.5 trillion rials of revenues were envisaged in the national budget for the mentioned period, which means that the government revenues were materialized by 63 percent.

Total revenues of the Iranian government registered a fall by 5.7 percent during the 4-month period, year-on-year.

Iran’s tax revenues amounted to 296.9 trillion rials in the period, registering no change compared to the same period of the preceding year.

About 75 percent of the tax revenues envisaged by the national budget bill (395.6 trillion rials) have been realized during the 4-month period, according to the CBI.

The government spending amounted to 741.3 trillion rials in the period, 22.6 percent more compared to the first four months of the last fiscal year (March 20-July 21, 2016).
