Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Dec. 19

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 13,920,000 rials (about $333 according to the currency rate in Iran's free market) on Tuesday.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,286,840 rials (about $30.7), indicating a 0.41 percent increase compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 49,684 rials in the free market, adding 0.16 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 42,143 rials.

The US dollar gained 0.27 percent compared to the preceding day and stood at 41,793 rials in the free market. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 35,750 rials.
