TEHRAN, Iran, July 18. Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) is finishing 12 semi-complete projects in the mineral and mining sector by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the head of IMIDRO Vajihollah Jafari, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"IMIDRO is launching projects in copper, steel, ferrochrome, lead and zinc, infrastructure, coal, hydrated lime, phosphate sector by the end of the current year," he indicated.
The predicted investment to complete the following projects is $1.4 billion which would create 2,877 direct and 7,500 indirect jobs, he added.
According to the official, some of the projects include finishing the first phase of the lead and zinc plant in Mehdiabad in Yazd Province with a production capacity of 200,000 tons, establishing the hydrated lime factory with 30,000 tons production capacity in the city of Lar in Larestan County, operating Sirjan copper mine and Sarcheshmeh copper flotation factory and building 2 wharves in Parsian Port.
