BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Iranian oil and gas producer Aghajari's production will increase by 20,000 barrels per day due to certain operations at two fields, executive director of Iran's Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company, Javad Taghizadeh said, Trend reports.
According to him, various targets have been planned in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025) to increase the company's crude oil production.
Taghizadeh stated that one of these goals is to increase production from the Ramshir oil field by directing part of the salt crude from the Ramshir field to the Maroon-2 primary refining unit. Work is currently proceeding apace to transport the salty oil through pipelines to the Maroon-2 primary processing unit.
The representative of the company said that after the construction of the new technological unit for processing salt oil from the Ramshire field, there will be no need for the transportation of formation oil to the primary processing unit, Maroon-2.
Iran's Aghajari Oil & Gas Production Company is a subsidiary of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The company has eight oil fields, including Aghajari, Karanj, Paranj, Parsi, Ramshir, Rag Sefid, Pazanan, and Marun.
About 615,000 barrels of light and heavy crude oil are extracted daily from eight fields. The company supplies fuel to domestic refineries and exports the remaining amount. The company also produces more than 27.8 million cubic meters of gas per day.
In addition, it supplies 30 percent of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company's liquefied natural gas needs. The company also produces 11,000 barrels of naphtha per day.
Iran's Ramshir oil field is located 145 km southeast of Ahvaz city in Khuzestan Province. About 40,000 barrels of crude oil are reportedly produced daily from this field. The development of the Ramshir oil field has been entrusted to the Oil Industry Construction and Engineering Company (OIEC). If the field is fully developed, 55,000 barrels of crude oil and 70 million cubic feet (about 2 million cubic meters) of gas could be produced daily.
