If Iran divulges its entire military capabilities it will baffle the United States and Israel which are currently aware of only part of its power, said Deputy Commander of Iran’s General Staff of Armed Forces Masud Jazayeri.
Iran has made a lot of progress in military technology, and is now, for example, is among the five top countries regarding missile precision, he told Tasnim news agency June 18.
The US, Israel, and some Arab states have frequently said they would take to arms against Iran, which necessitates full preparedness on the side of Iran, he underlined.
The statement that missiles hamper diplomacy is a mere joke, he said, stressing that Iran will pursue its missile program in full force both as deterrence and a powerful backing of diplomatic moves.
“If the country is attacked, we will not stop at borders,” he said.
“If the Islamic Republic of Iran is attacked, no doubt the interests of the US, Israel, and those who are in the game and would try to help them will be in danger,” he stressed.
The Islamic Republic has been pursuing a comprehensive program to boost its military power especially since the end of an eight-year war with Iraq. However, Tehran always stresses that the power will serve only defense.
