In January-April 2010, the Public budget income comprised 3232.6 million manats, or 24.9 percent of GDP. This index decreased by 0.05 percent, compared to the same period in 2009.
Public budget expenditures decreased by 6.5 percent and made up 2779.9 million manat (21.4 percent of the GDP). The surpluses of the budget totaled 452.7 million manat (3.5 percent of GDP).
The Taxes Ministry remitted 44.8 percent of all income, or 1448.5 million manat to the Public budget. The State Customs Committee remitted 280.4 million manat (with a special weight of 8.7 percent) in taxes and duties to the public budget.
In this period a total of 588.3 million manats was obtained from VAT, or 18.2 percent of all income, 610 million manat (18.9 percent) - profit taxes, 173.9 million manats (5.4 percent) - income taxes, 131.1 million manat (4 percent) - excise taxes, 29.5 million manats (0.9 percent) - property taxes, and 44 million manats (1.4 percent) -royalties and 80.8 million manat (2.5 percent) -taxes from foreign economic activities.
In January-April 2010, the public budget expense for social security and provision of people comprised 440 million manats (with a weight of 15.8 percent), 330.4 million manat (11.9 percent) was spent on education, 93.4 million (3.4 percent) - health, 179.4 million (6.4 percent) - maintenance of prosecutor bodies, security and law-enforcement and court bodies, 1.041,8 million (37.5 percent)- investment allocations, 51.7 million (1.9 percent) - housing and communal services, 91.16 million (3.3 percent) - agriculture, fishing, 15.4 million manat (0.6 percent)- transport and communications, and 35.1 percent (975.5 million manats) of Public expenses were spent on the payment of salaries, pension and allowances.
