The state budget income comprised 1829.3 million manat, or 27.3 percent of GDP in January-February 2011. This index increased by 12.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2010, the government said.
State budget expenditures increased by 9.7 percent and made up 1.186 billion manat (17.7 percent of the GDP). The surpluses of the budget totaled 642.9 million manat, or 9.6 percent of GDP in January-February.
The Taxes Ministry remitted 45.9 percent of all income, or 839.9 million manat to the state budget. The State Customs Committee remitted 140.4 million manat (with a special weight of 7.7 percent) in taxes and duties to the public budget and other sources remitted 849 million manat (with a special weight of 46.4 percent).
During the reported period, a total of 333.7 million manat was obtained from VAT, or 13.8 percent of all income, 364.2 million manat (19.9 percent) - profit taxes, 94.3 million manat (5.2 percent) - income taxes, 55.6 million manat (3 percent) - excise taxes, 8.9 million manat (0.5 percent) - property taxes, and 20.7 million manat (1.1 percent) -royalties and 58.8 million manat (3.2 percent) -taxes from foreign economic activities.
The public budget expense for social security and provision of people comprised 254.9 million manat (with a weight of 21.5 percent), 135.8 million manat (11.4 percent) was spent on education, 36.6 million (3.1 percent) - health, 73.5 million (6.2 percent) - maintenance of prosecutor bodies, security and law-enforcement and court bodies, 339 million (28.6 percent)- investment allocations, 13.4 million (1.1 percent) - housing and communal services, 38.8 million (3.3 percent) - agriculture, fishing and forestry, 253.5 million manat (21.4 percent) - industry and construction, transport and communications - 6.8 million manat (0.6 percent).
Some 45.2 percent (536.1 million manat) of public expenses were spent on the payment of salaries, pension and allowances.
