February 9-10, the Central Election Commission of Georgia in Batumi receives representatives of electoral administrations eastern Europe and central Asia.
The event of the CEC, in cooperation with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and the High Electoral Commission of Adjara.
The main purpose of the meeting is to exchange experiences and electoral processes in different countries, the improvement of cooperation in the region, establishment of close relations between the administrations. Also, as discussed already passed, and the upcoming elections in the near future.
Conference is attended by representatives of the electoral administration in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova, Mexico, Slovenia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The meeting also involved the U.S. Agency for International Development, the International Foundation for Election Systems, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the Association of Election Workers in Europe and the International Centre for Parliamentary studies, Center for Election Systems Development, reform and education and to ensure the Commission clarify the single list of voters.
Such a meeting is held in Georgia for the second time and has an annual nature. Last year, the meeting was held in Sighnaghi.
