Georgia’s trade turnover with Kazakhstan in January 2022 amounted to $7.8 million, which is an increase of 200 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($2.6 million), Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
In particular, Georgia’s exports to Kazakhstan in January 2022 amounted to $6.1 million - an increase of 369.2 percent, compared to January 2021 ($1.3 million). Kazakhstan ranked 11 among Georgia’s largest partners by exports over the reporting period of 2022.
Georgia’s imports from Kazakhstan in January 2022 amounted to $1.6 million, which is an increase of 33.3 percent, compared to $1.2 million over the same month of 2021.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover (excluding non-declared trade) in January 2022 increased by 41.1 percent, compared to $786.2 million over the same period of 2021, and by 20.4 percent, compared to January 2020 ($913.3 million) and amounted to $1.1 billion.
