( Prime-News ) - Georgian side accuses Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation, of violation of international norms regarding awarding citizens of " South Ossetia".
David Bakradze, State Minister of Georgia for conflict resolution, stated in his interview with TV Company " Rustavi 2" that this is public support of separatism.
"We do not object to granting our citizens with various medals and rewards, but there are clarified norms of the international law, which regulates such procedures when it refers to a neighbor country" Bakradze stated.
Kote Gabashvili, Chairman of the parliamentary committee for foreign affairs, qualified the decree of the Russian president as another ideological trick, which is doomed to fail in hindering the rapid process of conflict resolution.
"President of the Russian Federation, who claims to have juridical education, should know that there is no state of South Ossetia. He was either misled or forced to do so prior to the upcoming elections" stated Vladimir Sanakoev, Head of the public movement "Ossetian People for Peace".
According to the decree signed by the president of Russian Federation, 12 Ossetians have been awarded with orders of friendship, medals of Pushkin and the titles of worthy teachers of the Russian Federation.
