Egypt's military ruler, Hussein Tantawi, on Saturday met with two potential presidential contenders for talks on the "latest developments" in the country, dpa quoted the state television as reporting.
The broadcaster said that Tantawi had separately conferred with Mohammed El-Baradei, the former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Amr Moussa, an ex-head of the Arab League.
Anti-military protesters, camping for days in Tahrir Square in Cairo, want El-Baradei to lead the country's new government.
