Syrian army Brigadier General of the army was killed during the military clashes in Syria on Saturday, "Al-Jazeera" TV channel reported.
On Saturday, Syrian troops resumed military operations in the city of Homs.
At least 14 people were killed during the armed clashes. About 300 civilians and hundreds were injured were killed in different cities of Syria these days.
The anti-governmental demonstrations have been held in Syria since March 2011. It is daily reported about the killed civilians and law enforcement bodies members.
According to the UN, the total number of victims exceeded 5,000 people. Syrian authorities said that over 2,000 military and law enforcement bodies members were killed in the clashes with the armed opposition.
