Authorities say they are investigating an envelope with a white powdery substance found at the Israeli Embassy in northwest Washington, AP reported on Thursday.
Embassy spokesman Jonathan Peled says the FBI took the envelope Wednesday evening for testing. There were no injuries, RIA Novosti reported.
Envelope was sent to the embassy, and not someone in particular. Peled says officials do not know who sent it and it wasn't opened.
There are no illnesses or threats associated with the envelope and the building was not evacuated.
