The U.S. space shuttle Endeavour soared off its Florida launch pad on Wednesday on a mission to deliver and install an outdoor platform for science experiments on the International Space Station, Reuters reported.
Endeavour blasted off from the Kennedy Space Center at 6:03 p.m. EDT (2203 GMT), carrying a crew of seven astronauts on a 16-day mission to the $100 billion orbiting research outpost.
