Iran says no date set for next nuclear talks yet

Tehran, Iran, Oct. 28

By Dalga Khatinoglu - Trend:

A source close to Iran's nuclear delegation team rejected news published about the scheduled date for next round of nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1.

Fars News Agency quoted an unnamed source close to Iran's nuclear negotiation delegation on Oct.28 as saying the dates of the next nuclear talks are uncertain.

"Before holding talks between Iran and P5+1, the bilateral and trilateral talks between Iran and P5+1 members is scheduled to be held," he said.

Before that, TASS news agency quoted an unnamed source close to the negotiations saying that a regular round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) at the level of political directors will start in Vienna on November 18.

Iran and six powers reached interim nuclear deal on last Nov. 24 that was extended in July for another four months to Nov. 24.

Meanwhile, U.S. State Department's Persian Language Spokesperson Alan Eyre told Trend on Oct. 27 that Iran and P5+1 had reached "significant progress" in the nuclear talks, but there is still "hard work" ahead.
