Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has left Tehran for Margarita Island, Venezuela to attend the 17th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
The NAM expert-level meeting is scheduled to be held on Sep13-14 and its ministerial level on Sep 15-16, IRNA news agency reported.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is also slated to attend NAM session in order to handover the position of the chairman of NAM to the host country's representative.
Rouhani will later pay a visit to Cuba and then US in order to partake at the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to the report, Rouhani is expected to meet Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.
