OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) special representative for Georgia, ex-speaker of the OSCE PA Goran Lennmarker (currently OSCE PA honorary chairman) called on Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Georgia, to take an active part in negotiations over peace settlement of conflicts in Caucasus.
"Independent countries in the region - Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia - are the interested sides and they must first of all negotiate settlement of conflicts in Caucasus," he said in Toronto at OSCE in Open Word hearings on the subject of Recent Conflict in Georgia on 19 September.
Lennmarker believes it would be expedient to involve Turkey in the negotiations.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict could be discussed at the negotiations as well, Interfax quoted Lennmarker.
