Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade / The First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament and Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Ziyafet Askerov, said on 18 September that representatives of NATO Parliamentary Assembly's ad hoc committee for democratic management will arrive in Azerbaijan on 19 September.
According to him, the members of the committee annually hold such meetings in various countries. Up to now, the NATO representatives have visited Georgia. During the three day visit, the delegation will hold meetings in Azerbaijan's Parliament, Ministry of Defense, Foreign Ministry, Ministry of National Security and Ministry of Industry and Energy. "Firstly we will raise the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh because successful military reforms are implemented in Azerbaijan. We may accelerate this process, but Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani lands prevents this process," Askerov said.
Results of observations of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's representatives will be used in devising future reports.
