France, Strasburg, 11 March / Trend corr A. Maharramli/ The prospects of cooperation between the European Council (CE) and GUAM will be discussed in Strasburg on 19 March 2008. According to the CE Secretariat, the issue, which has been included into the agenda of Azerbaijan's standing delegation to CE, will be considered at the meeting of the reporter group for foreign relations at the CE Ministerial Committee. The possibility of further discussions will be discussed.
This is the first case in which cooperation between GUAM and another organization to be discussed at such a high level.
Azerbaijan, as well as other GUAM members ( Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova), is expected to be represented by officials of the Foreign Ministry.
