Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 November/ Trend / On 8 November, President of Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got familiar with the arrangement of green spaces along the highway leading to Heydar Aliyev airport and Zikh-Gunashli downslope.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bagirov informed President of the work done on the project. About 240,000 types of trees will be planted in a section of 11km. Irrigation system will also be built within the frames of the project. Plantation of ever-green trees began on 25 October. Over 40,000 trees have already been planted. Over 500 workers of organizations and ministerial agencies took part in the community work day held today. Young trees have been planted in an area of 6 ha, Minister said.
After getting familiar with the arrangement of green spaces, President Ilham Aliyev also planted a tree and watered it.
