Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.6 / Trend corr J. Babayeva / The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan made up a permanent electoral list of the country. In accordance with the list, the number of voters is 4.804 million in Azerbaijan, CEC Secretary Natik Mammadov said at a meeting on Feb.6.
The text, form, quantity and rules on preparation of ballot papers were adopted at the meeting. The ballot papers will be printed three times more than the number of voters (4,949,018). The papers will will be printed at the parliamentary printing office beginning from Feb.7.
A referendum on additions and changes in Article 29 of the Constitution will be held on Mar.18.
The Azerbaijani CEC registered 211 observers over the country and 497 observers over constituencies for the referendum, chairman of the CEC Mazahir Panahov said at the meeting on Feb.6.
The referendum initiative groups of New Azerbaijan, City and Progress, Right and Democracy and Civil Society were registered in the CEC as agitation groups except Abad Kend and Free Speech.
As many as 124 initiative groups were registered in constituency election commissions.
The Azerbaijani Constitution was adopted in 1995. The first changes were made upon in 2002.
