British International Defense and Security Minister baroness Ann Taylor is paying an official visit to Georgia on Feb. 10-12.

Along with various issues, Georgia-NATO cooperation as part of the annual national program will be discussed during the visit, British Embassy in Georgia reported.

"Over years we have established close cooperation between the two countries. We actively cooperate in bilateral defense and security," said Ann Taylor. UK supports Georgia in entering Euro-Atlantic structures, she said. "We are pleased with the Bucharest Summit Declaration, envisaging Georgia's entering NATO, as well as with NATO's subsequent decision to develop annual national program. This demonstrates NATO's commitments to Georgia, which include assistance in acceding to the organization," said Taylor.

According to Taylor, great work is to be done. Mush of the work is part of Georgia's responsibility. The UK will help Georgia. "We look forward to discuss further steps in Georgia's rapprochement with NATO," she said.

Taylor will meet with Georgian defense minister, chairman of the parliament, foreign minister and deputy state minister for euro-Atlantic integration.
