The Minister of National Security of Azerbaijan Eldar Mahmudov received the Director of State Security Department of Lithuania Povilas Malakauskas.
The Minister Of National Security, Lieutenant General Mahmudov said at the meeting that there are historical cultural and friendly relations between two countries, the Ministry told Trend .
Minister spoke of provision of security in Azerbaijan and work carried out by the Ministry in combating criminality, problems and other factors, generated as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and also he informed of adequate measures taken in connection with them.
Malakauskas with the satisfaction noted the results of the discussions over urgent questions in ensuring security interests of both countries, and expressed confidence that his visit will be useful for further strengthening of ties between the countries, including between appropriate structures.
