Term for receiving of bids to repatriation of Meskheti Turks will be prolonged for two months in Georgia. The parliamentary committee for international relations addresses with corresponding legislative proposal.
Deadline for bids to repatriate Meskheti Turks resettled in 1940 of last century instead of July 1, 2009 will expire on October 1, 2009 upon the law bill.
This change to the law appears for the second time. Upon the initial variant of the law, term must expire on February 1, 2009. But term was prolonged till July 1 late 2008.
Reason of another delay of term in the committee for international relations is that Meskheti Turks willing to return to Georgia can not produce documents in time because of deficit of time.
