Israel is worried about the attempts of Iran to control the politics of Lebanon and its realities through Hezbollah, the deputy spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Israel Andy David told Trend in a telephone conversation.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri's three-day visit to Iran, during which he met with the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ended on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made a visit to Lebanon in October. During the visit, the two countries signed 17 agreements.

During his two-day visit to Lebanon, Ahmadinejad met with Secretary General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah. During the meeting, they discussed the results of the Iranian president's visit to Lebanon.

The head of Iran also spoke at a meeting in the Lebanese town of Bint Dzhabil, which is considered the main base of the Hezbollah in southern Lebanon along the border with Israel. Iran supports the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah, some of whose members are allegedly linked to the murder of Rafik Hariri, the father of the current Lebanese prime minister.

The U.S. and Israel have called Ahmadinejad's state visit as provocative. Similar views were expressed in Lebanon as well.
