The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan held a meeting with the participation of state and private construction companies' heads, the representatives of central executive power bodies' construction companies, the responders of Security control issues in the construction, MES's official website reported. They discussed and exchanged their view on strengthening joint relations between the MES and construction companies and the perspective issues.
In his speech Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov noted dynamic development of Azerbaijan's economy despite global crisis and noted President Ilham Aliyev's successful economical policy. The minister said that according to the President Ilham Aliyev's relevant order, the state control was conducted for the fulfillment of construction works in the Azerbaijan's territory, including Baku, and serous steps were taken in this direction: "According to decree on "Tightening state control in the construction sphere in the Azerbaijani Republic" signed by Preisdent Ilham Aliyev, the serious works were made for the determination and improvement of state control in construction sphere, the normative acts were approves. It is considered to lay on the tapis the "Azerbaijani Republic's Town-building and Construction Code" which was worked by local specialists and experts.
Heydarov called on the construction companies and firms to actively participate in the realization of complex measures on the construction quality's improvement and its security in the construction of objects in Azerbaijan. At the same time, the minister said that the serious measures will be taken from March 1 for all the physical and legal entities who do not observe the demands of the legislation as well as the materials will be sent to the law-enforcement and judicial bodies.
