Azerbaijan and France have the opportunity to mend fences and turn over a new leaf in their relationship, and this was confirmed by today's conference, “France's role in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict,” director of Conflicts magazine Gil Mihaely told reporters on the sidelines of an international conference on "France and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict," Trend reports.
“I mean, Azerbaijan could have just said, ‘Well what can you do, it's not working, but we have other priorities.’ However, it didn't do that. Despite the criticism, mutual interest remains high. I believe that this is the foundation on which the dialog can be built. France and Azerbaijan have had better times, but they are not enemies,” he noted.
To note, an international conference on the topic "France and the Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict" is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
