The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry designed proposals by the legal and physical entities on increase of tariffs for passenger transportation and submitted to the consideration of the tariff Council, The Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov told Trend.
Proposals concern the increase of transport fairs were made immediately after increase of several types of oil products, including diesel fuel. However, the Tariff Council regarded as inexpedient the increase of passenger transportation, in particular, by buses, the minister underlined.
The same time he noted that following increase of welfare of population the transport tariffs should also be increased. It meets the principles of market economy. If market requires, the tariffs should be increased.
