Regional centers will be established in Azerbaijan to cater for professionals who wish to obtain higher qualifications or improve their skills. The Minister for Labor and Social Security, Fizuli Alakbarov, informed Trend that the Country's developing economy requires more and more highly qualified workers and engineers.
In this respect the Ministry is establishing, in Baku and Mingachevir, regional centers for those professionals who wish to upgrade their skills or obtain higher qualifications, with the support of the International Labor Organization. The Ministry will also closely co-operate with the Education Ministry of Azerbaijan for their support in the high professional education of the Azerbaijani citizens he stated.
Alakbarov noted that the Ministry is currently involved in improving the work of the medical labor expert commissions, which is currently in need of an upgrade.
