The Ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan, Afshar Suleymani, said on December 29 at the press-conference that in 2007 the President of Iran Mahmud Ahmedi Nejat will make an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador said that over the past two years, the Iranian President has made two working visits to Azerbaijan for the opening of the gas-turbine station in Nakchivan Autonomous Republic and the Summit of ECO. The President of Azerbaijan has invited his Iranian colleague to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. Next year the visit will be realized, the Ambassador said.
According to the Ambassador, next year, a number of high-ranking officials of Iran, particularly Speaker of the Parliament, Minister of Transport, Education, etc., are expected to visit Azerbaijan. And from Azerbaijan, the Foreign Minister and Ministry of Health will visit Iran next year.
