Kazakhstan Court to Decide Outcome of Eight Azerbaijanis Charged with Poaching

Kazakhstan, Astana / Trend corr. К.Кonirova / Larisa Dmitruk, the Press Secretary for the Frontier Service of Kazakhstan has reported to Trend Agency that the case of the arrested 8 Azerbaijanis in a poaching vessel in the territorial waters of Kazakhstan, was brought to court on 14 August.

The Frontier Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported on 14 August that, as a result of patrolling by the Sardar vessel in 13 August, vessel TBF-58 carrying eight Azerbaijanis was seized. The men on board the Azerbaijani vessel showed resistance when being arrested. The captain of the Azerbaijani vessel threatened to scuttle and to sink the vessel," press secretary said.

According to Dmitruk, the frontier guard of Kazakhstan managed to stop the vessel. Inspection of the detained vessel revealed more than three tons of sturgeon and the hunting tool 'Collada' The vessel was immediately taken to the Kazakh port of Bautino.

The destiny of the eight Azerbaijanis will be decided in the Kazakhstan court.
