K.Zarbaliyeva / Mass medical examinations have been implemented in the Gobustan prison of Azerbaijan, Niyazi Eyvazov, the chief of the medical institution of the prison, said on 6 November. About ninety prisoners were examined. If the prisoners to need in medical treatment the institution will appeal to the Azerbaijani Health Ministry.
About thirty prisoners suffered by tuberculosis are treated in the medical institute of the prison 3.
The chief of Gobustan prison, Kazim Abdullayev, said the main problem was the problem connected with mentally sick prisoners. If treatment of mentally sick prisoners not to give positive results they will be sent to the Republic Neurological Clinic.
About 200 prisoners serve life imprisonment in Gobustan prison.
