Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 February / corr. Trend Z. Safarov/ The Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymur Rajabov drew with Vasili Ivanchuk within the 5th round of the Morelia- Linares super tournament held in Mexico.
The meeting with Ivanchuk was the third one for Rajabov this season. Teymur beat his rival in the Quarter-final of the World Cup in Odessa but drew in the Vein-an- Zena tournament. Naturally, the Azerbaijani grandmaster hoped to gain the opening point in a match with Ivanchuk, but Vasili needed to gain points himself, especially after he lost to Levon Aroyan in the previous tournament.
Gaining two points Rajabov continues in his struggle for control.
