Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 April / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The third meeting of Azerbaijani women will be held on 29 August, Hijran Huseynova, the Chairman of State-owned Committee on Work with Family, Woman and Child Problems, stated.
The meeting will be conducted by the Committee and women NGOs.
Huseynova stated that lot of work has been done for the creation of the Council of old women. Women NGOs will elect representatives for participation in the meeting from regions.
According to the strategic data for October 2007, 2,262 NGOs passed the State registration. There are 14% women in the composition of the Parliament make, but in NGOs the number is higher.
Women activities in regions of the country are quite low. There are only 22 women NGOs in regions.
