Appeals to ambulance increase in Lankaran region of Azerbaijan

Number of people appealing ambulance increased in Lankaran region of Azerbaijan, head doctor of ambulance and acute care Mammadbahir Akhundov said.

Number of people applying to ambulance hits 30-40 people for the last week compared to 10-15 people earlier. Roughly 30 percent suffer cardiovascular diseases, 25 percent - nervous system diseases, 10 - respiratory diseases, he said.  

Roughly 2,512 appeals were registered within six months of 2009 or 412 appeals more compared to similar period of 2008. There are no complaints concerning sun stroke, Akhundov said.
