Days of Azerbaijan's culture, organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico with the participation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism were held in Mexico last week.

Days of Azerbaijan's culture, organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico with the participation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism were held in Mexico last week.

Days of Azerbaijan's culture were held in a concert hall of the biggest National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico for the first time in the history of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico.

They were held with the participation of Azerbaijani artists - performers of folk music, the State Dance Ensemble, young performers of Mugham, as well as children's group "Torch of the East", the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico said. A photo exhibition of the art gallery named after S. Bahlulzade was held in the central exposition hall of the museum.

Jazz concerts with the participation of Isfar Sarabski and Emil Mammadov, as well as display of traditional national women's clothes within the Days of Culture greatly impressed visitors.

A concert of dance groups and musicians of Azerbaijan was also held in one of the most prestigious universities in the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in the city of Toluca. The Mayor of Toluca Maria Elena Barrera Tapia and Rector of the University Eduardo Gasca Pliego participated in the concert.

Documentary and feature films from the Fund of the Azerbaijan cinema were demonstrated during all these days in one of the central theaters of Mexico "Cinepolis Diana".

Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev met with Minister of Tourism Development of the Mexican state of Guerrero, Ernesto Rodriguez Escalona in one of the major tourist centers of Acapulco in Mexico within the Days of Azerbaijani culture in Mexico.

The meeting focused on plans to expand and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, the report said.
