Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 17 /Trend, K.Zarbaliyeva/
This year, the Constitutional Court (CC) of Azerbaijan has received more than 2,000 appeals, the CC chairman Farhad Abdullayev told reporters.
According to him, most of the complaints are related to the apartments in disputes.
Abdullayev said that this year, the CC did not adopt to execution the complaints about the decisions of the courts. The reason for this was the necessity of examining the evidences in these cases. As the CC has no authority to study the evidences, the complaints on the courts' decisions were not taken for execution.
Abdullayev said that compared with previous years, this year the number of terminations of court decisions has decreased. According to him, since 2004, the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has cancelled 74 decisions of the Supreme Court.
The number of appeals by courts to comment on the relevant articles of the laws has increased, Abdullayev said. According to him, so far the CC has commented on 63 legislation acts, two comments relate to the Constitution, and 61 - articles and other laws.
