Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 25 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
The Georgian public movements, "Ara" (No!) and "Motherland, Language, Faith," will conduct a protest in front of the French Embassy in Tbilisi today.
Ara told Trend that the movement has called upon the representatives of European institutions and embassies to deal with the problem of political prisoners and illegal prisoners serving sentences in Georgian prisons. They think that EU member states and the United States should have an impact on the Georgian authorities and force them to release political prisoners.
According to the movements, there are 54 political prisoners in Georgia and they demand their release.
