Sevinj Babayeva entered the Istanbul hospital under a different name and died of heart failure there, Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office spokesman Eldar Sultanov told Trend on Friday.
Sevinj Babayeva, wanted on the criminal case under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code, died of heart failure at the "Medicana International İstanbul Hospital" in Turkey, he said.
During the investigation it turned out that the body was examined by members of the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office with participation of Azerbaijani Consul General in the city, Hasan Zeynalov and Babayeva's relative, and it was found that the deceased is Sevinj Babayeva.
According to preliminary information of the hospital, Sevinj Babayeva, who entered the hospital under a different name, died of heart failure.
The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan appealed to the Turkish Justice Ministry through the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry on the special order, and raised the issue of participation of Azerbaijani law enforcement officers in the examination, therefore, employees of the Prosecutor's Office and Interior Ministry were sent to Turkey.
The public will be informed about the investigation, including the results of examination later.

According to the Consul General, the examination of the body held with the participation of Babayeva's son and her other relatives, confirmed her identity.
A forensic examination of the body will be conducted today in Istanbul, after which dead body will be delivered to Baku, the Consul General said.
The Medicana International İstanbul Hospital, where Babayeva died, refused to provide any information.
The video with former Azerbaijani University rector Elshad Abdullayev and MP Gular Ahmadova was spread by online media outlets on September 25th. Abdullayev gave a large sum of money to Gular Ahmadova to get elected to parliament. The Baku City Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code on the matter. An investigation is underway.
Spokesman for Prosecutor General's Office Eldar Sultanov said that Aykhan Mammadov called the prosecutor's office in Baku at 16:00 on Thursday, saying that his mother Sevinj Babayeva died of heart failure at a hospital in Istanbul.
