Hundreds of employees of Turkish Airlines (Türk Hava Yolları) are holding a mass strike in front of the office of the company's board of directors, Sabah newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The strike is aimed at reaching an agreement with the administration of the airline on the conclusion of a collective contract.
According to the report, the strike has not yet led to the cancellation of flights. However, it has not been excluded that in the event of further strikes some flights may be cancelled or postponed.
500 officers of the Turkish security forces have been sent on standby to monitor the strike.
