BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are regularly visiting individuals of Armenian descent, as confirmed by Azerbaijani authorities, Spokesperson of the ICRC Office in Azerbaijan Ilaha Huseynova told Trend.

She noted that the most recent visit took place in September.

“ICRC staff inquire about the detainees' living conditions and treatment and facilitate communication between them and their families during the visits. The representatives conduct personal meetings, providing detainees with the opportunity to send messages to their loved ones,” Huseynova said.

To note, after the local anti-terrorist measures carried out last year, the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan detained the former so-called "presidents" of the illegal separatist regime, Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, former so-called "Foreign Minister" David Babayan, as well as former so-called "chairman of Parliament" Davit Ishkhanyan, Generals Lev Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan, and former so-called "Minister of State" Ruben Vardanyan.
